 This Mayan Reserve is located about 32 miles outside of Belize City. This city is dated back to200 B.C to late 850 A.D. This city is one of Belize’s most popular ancient Mayan sites.

 

WDTT will take you on a magnificent tour of one of Belize’s most excavated and visited Mayan Reserve, Altun Ha. Dating back to Pre-Classic 200 B.C to Late Classic 850 A.D, this site is located an estimated thirty-two miles from Belize City.

 

Home of the famous ornately carved Jade Head of “Kinich Ahau”; the Mayan Sun God, the site features two main plazas with some thirteen temples. Here you will learn about the magical culture of these mysterious people that once inhabited this ancient site.

 

Enjoy an authentic Belizean dish for lunch at a local restaurant near the site.

  • Wheelchairs can access location. Closed-toe shoes required. For safety reasons, pregnant women and guests with back or neck injuries, respiratory illness, high blood pressure or heart conditions may not participate on this tour.
Good to Know

Ruins are approximately 60 minutes away from the ship. Guests are not allowed to take video footage or use drones at Maya site and cannot climb ruins before or after rain for safety reasons.
